Las Vegas, NV - June 18, 2008 - Stewart Filmscreen Corporation®, the industry leader in precision projection screen technologies for the commercial and residential markets, today announced their first window treatment product, the Ambience Shade, a convenient and beautiful solution for systems integrators that must control and black out sunlight in commercial applications.

In the past, projected light and ambient light didn't work well together. Today rooms with a view and a top-end front projection system are no longer incompatible due to Stewart’s advancements in projection screen technology. Now it is possible to view a clean, vibrant, and detailed image even with a lot of ambient light. However, there are those times when it's necessary to control the amount of light (and heat) entering your windows. For those situations, Stewart provides the Ambience Shade.

Complimenting the existing Stewart line of video conference screen and roller products, the Ambience Shade has been designed for any residential or commercial application where sunlight control is desired or necessary. Who better than Stewart in knowing the importance of light control in achieving the perfect display experience? Since sunlight must be taken into account during the design of any multimedia projection system, the Ambience Shade is just another way that Stewart can help achieve the best possible image in any environment, under any circumstance.

As the day goes on, the amount of light that enters a given window changes continually. Using the supplied remote control, the Ambience Shade can be adjusted individually or as part of a group of window shades. In fact, the Ambience Shade can be fully integrated into automated building management control systems and energy compliant Pilot RQ. The motorized shade can create a total blackout effect (when using blackout fabric) and the Light Lock kit creates side and bottom sill channels to prevent light from even entering at the edges of the shade.

The Ambience Shade is engineered to be simple to install, easy to operate, and pleasing to look at. The Ambience Shade is whisper quiet, using the latest in quiet-motor technology including Lutron QS and Legacy 120v. Stewart supplies their exclusive mounting hardware and fascia. A Headbox Pocket system is also available for recessing the roller into the ceiling. When the shade is installed, the hem-bar can be exposed or enclosed based on preference.

The Ambience Shade is completely customizable to match the style and color of the customer's existing décor with a Mermet shade fabric designed for durability. Other fabrics are also available upon request.
